Right Here, Right Now #215
To look at something and remember that you used to like it can be a wonderful experience, particularly if you are willing to simply remember the affection, the adoration, and the desire you had that brought it into being.
To look at that same thing, whether it is an object, a situation, a circumstance, or even a relationship and to mourn the loss of it is something you might be very familiar with.
And you don't have to mourn something or someone just because you always have in the past.
You could look at the change in your feeling or the change in the facts of the matter and decide that this is what happens when thoughts evolve.
And you could remember that all forms are temporary and transitory.
And you could notice that the grief about the past is a mistaken, although common, assumption that what was good then cannot be had going forward.
And, above all, you could notice that the very nature of unconditional love, and by extension your very being, is that of change and expansion and that as good as everything is now, and it is all quite amazing in truth, it will only be getting better and better from here.
You could do all this but you don't have to.
You get to choose and can do so at any time. It's never too soon and it's never too late. It's always exactly right.
