Consistency: a hobgoblin
A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines. ~~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
We don’t ordinarily quote other philosophers or dignitaries but we think that this delightful sentence (even if it is a bit rude) has much to say and we’d like to expound upon it a bit.
You see, we are constantly flowing in the ongoing evolution of who we are.
You are, as well, even when you don’t recognize it.
And it is from that lack of recognition that so much of your resistance to what is arises.
For you are dynamic beings evolving and becoming and changing and shifting endlessly.
When you believe that you must always be the same, do the same, speak the same, and on and on, then you are trapping yourself in a game that you don’t really like and that will eventually become painful. And that is because it literally is not possible to repeat any one thing from one moment to the next.
As you think about things in the past that you’ve done repeatedly, you probably assume (and for very good reasons) that you are in a rut, that you are in a habit, that what you are doing is like an endless wheel turning and turning. Nothing could be farther from the truth.
You are never the same person twice. No matter what it may look like on the surface of things, when you speak a word over and over again you are actually evolving in the language.
That may seem rather abstract, so let’s look at it this way:
If you carry a rock from one side of the room to the other, and then repeat this several times, you are probably accustomed to thinking that you’re repeating the same action. Yes, you are copying an action you did before, but it is never the same action. You are using a template from the past (even if it was just moments before), but you are never in the same place more than once, if for no other reason than time has passed and you have changed.
It is your belief in constancy and permanency that governs this concept. Your belief that things always stay the same provides you with evidence to support the same, Law of Attraction being what it is.
So, you’ve read our words thus far. And you may be thinking, “What does this have to do with me?” And our reply would be, “Is there any part of your life where you think you are a slave to your habits, that no matter what you do, you are repeating the same mistake or the same undesired outcome again and again?”
If that is the case, then we want to plant a seed or two and help you pry loose a bit from your strong insistence that things are always the same and that it never changes.
For everything is always changing.
Think about this metaphysically, using your inner knowing and vision rather than what your eyes tell you about the past, and it becomes instantly clear.
Weight: What is it good for?
Starts on Wednesday, December 8 at 8:30 pm EST and will go on for 3 calls.
We’ll be going deep into the topic of weight and finding powerful transformation through our conversations with the Communion of Light. I expect it will be a ground-breaking call series and that, like so many of our conversations with the COL, there will be loads of new insights as well as practical, applicable information.

Just a quick note to let you know about a new Communion of Light workshop that I’m very excited about!
It’s called “Weight: What is it good for?”
We’ll be starting on Wednesday, December 8 at 8:30 pm EST and will go on for 3 calls.

Flavia Daay will be facilitating this conversation and bringing her own powerful way of asking questions and getting satisfying answers from the COL. I’m really excited she said yes when I asked!!

Deliciously Yours,
Frank Butterfield
What do you want?
There are probably some very delicious things that you contemplate from time to time as you think about the unfolding future that lies before you.
And we love to be with you as you think about how good it will be!
Have you stopped, however, to think about the next 10 minutes instead of the next 10 months or the next 10 years?
There is great power (and delight!) in deciding what you want next, right now, right in this red hot moment.
As you bring your attention to where you are and decide what you want next, moving from one part of your life to the next, you can delight yourself in endless ways by taking what you expect from the mundaneness of everyday life and tweaking it a bit and adding in more savory pieces that you will love.
In other words, you can stop where you are and decide that you want to feel delighted surprise in the next segment of time. Feel that delight as it rises within you and savor it for a moment. Then let it go and move forward into the next moment.
Don’t worry if it doesn’t happen exactly as you imagine it will. Play with this a bit until you find the right combination of anticipation and allowing. There is a sweet spot that each of you can find easily by just experimenting a bit. All that you need is a sense of adventure.
And that sense of adventure is what we see in you all the time. You may think that some of your minutes are mundane, but that is only because you are not really paying attention to what can be so delightful. It’s all around you, waiting for you to notice.
So, we invite you to expect to be delighted. We invite you to feel that delight NOW. We invite you to allow that delight into your experience. And we invite you to savor each moment of it that you notice, if only for a second or two.
Delightful it will be, indeed.
The organizing principle of the Universe, Part 2
This organizing principle, based in love, is unconditional in how it perceives you. It cares not what you think for it knows that you, as a master manifestor and powerful creator, know exactly what you are doing. It trusts you explicitly. It does not try to control you, to fix you, to manipulate you, or to get you to be good. It cannot imagine you as anything less than unconditional love. So, whatever you give focus to must expand. That is the nature of creation.
If you take a thought and hold it clearly in your mind for a few seconds, you can test the validity of what we are saying. You will begin to notice after a few seconds of clear and focused thinking that new thoughts will begin to come to you about whatever you are focused upon. This is the organizing principle in action.
Now, why does it take a few seconds for this to happen? Well, part of the combined reality you have come into as a physical being includes the concept of time. Time is just the way that you use to organize your experiences while you are here in physical focus. It is not immutable and is more like a filing system that you use in a busy office to organize information that would otherwise be chaotic and difficult to understand.
Imagine, however, if you started a religion from your filing system. Imagine that you began to say that this is how everyone should organize their lives. Then you get a glimpse into the power that you all give this stream of time.
You all believe that everything has a beginning, a middle, and an end. Those things that you like seem to end too quickly and those things that you don’t like seem to linger on endlessly. Neither is really true, not at the level of consciousness. But your experience of them is very real based on how you bring your focus to your life.
When you begin to relax a bit about these beliefs around time, you might notice that things seem to improve a bit. You might notice, in fact, that time is really your friend and not the enemy you may have made it out to be.
Like everything, your relationship to time is based on how you perceive and the thoughts you consistently think about it. The organizing principle of the Universe brings you more and more of what you are noticing and you get consistent proof of how what you are perceiving is correct. And isn’t that a wonderful thing!
Now, how can you begin to use this powerful organizing principle constructively to create a life that you want instead of persisting in what you don’t want? Well, that’s where all the fun begins!

Some updates…
The Heart of Money
The first call in our Heart of Money course last Friday started off wonderfully! Here are some of the thorny issues that shifted powerfully in the conversation:
- How would my life be different if I had all the money I want
- I want to allow in an additional $3000 in the next 3 to 4 weeks
- I want to know more about commanding money
- It looks like I’m in relationship with the absence of money
- I don’t have the confidence that money is on demand
Our next call in this course will be on Friday, December 3, and I’m very excited to see where we go with this subject.
It’s easy to join us — become a member of The Village and you’re automatically enrolled.
Plus you have instant access to the many, many hours of gems of in the audio archive (that includes one of my all-time favorite calls on Helpers, the name the COL uses to describe spirit guides).
The COL Store
Want to try out a few of our best calls from The Village? They are now available individually in the COL Store. Check out what’s already in the store and keep checking back as we add more.
COL Quotes
Did you know there is a page dedicated to the juicy COL quotes that we’ve gathered over time? Here’s one of my favorites:
You must either allow it to come into being or desire it to come into being. In both instances, the inevitability of its manifestation trumps any resistance you may have as to the questions of how, when, where, by whom, and what is required.
