Hope is at the edge of your Vortex

When you are on the edge of your Vortex, it feels like hope. If you can find your way to hope, the organizing principle of the Universe will take care of the rest. Hope on any topic means that you’ve dropped your resistance enough to let the Universe in and do the work you’ve been wanting it to. And that feels really, really good!

Now, when you are wanting more than what you are having, that can feel like hope. In other words, you are thinking about what there is so delicious about what you can have and yet you still know it’s not quite there yet but it can be and it likely will be. Well, you get the point. This is hope.

Hope is like standing on the fence and realizing that yes, the grass is greener over there and since it’s really all you, you might as well go ahead and go over and enjoy it. For, wasn’t the old story about the grass being greener all about the fact that you should just take what you were given because it’s not going to get much better?

Well, hope doesn’t pay much attention to this. Hope is like a very attractive friend who is looking at you and saying, “It’s all good over here. Why don’t you come over and enjoy it?” When you relax a little bit, you realize that you don’t have to guard your small, meager bit but that the whole universe is yours to explore and so that greener grass might just be the answer to your wanting.

We’re not talking, necessarily, about journeys of distance or time. When we say that the grass is greener, we don’t mean, get up out of your chair and go sit in your neighbor’s yard, although you might want to do that if it feels good to you and is in alignment with the totality of your desires.

What we mean is that you tend to parse the world into segments and say, “This bit is mine. And that larger bit isn’t. I can have this contentment and this managed pessimism, but hope is too far a land to ever reach.”

When you touch on hope, you’ll feel its pull. Hope is the opening that you have been asking for. It is here at your request. And, so, you can relax into the awareness that where you are going is exactly where you want to go. Hope is always leading you downstream and it always feels better.

Hope is at the edge of your Vortex. None of this is going to mean much if you are in your Vortex as you read our words.

But, if you are feeling adrift, in the land of the lost, wondering when your ship is going to finally reach its port, and confused about who you and what this is all about, then these words are for you.

Doing and thoughts

You are that which you are. You have created this magnificent being in this magnificent moment. And you are not liking what you have created. That is all.

You want to go free. You want to bask in joy. Yet you do not allow it. You focus on what you do not want by looking at what is and deciding it does not pass muster and that it is not up to snuff.

When you do this, you progressively feel worse and worse. You head into an ever-contracting spiral and you separate yourself from your Higher Self. For, in that moment, you cannot see what your Higher Self sees. Your Higher Self, being that part of you that is Source, sees you with deep appreciation. Your Higher Self looks around your field of energy and your field of perception and says, “Yes, it is all good. Yes, it is all perfect. And what else do you want to create from where you are right now? Do you want more joy? Do you want more freedom? Do you want to be in alignment with where you are? Then choose what you have. Free yourself from the bondage you have set up for yourself.”

To you, our most beloved friend, we say: what you DO matters not. What you THINK is everything. And we are mildly amused to watch you as you examine your DOING and find fault with it.

We know that you think you will be tested again and again about your DOING, about all of your OUTPUT. You have been sold a bill of goods. No one is testing you. No one is measuring your output. No one is doing this unless you beckon them forth and say, “Please. Please look at my things that I have created. Please look at these things and judge me worthy.” And yet you are quite terrified that you will be found unworthy of your OUTPUT. Again, nothing could be further from the truth except in the twisted fantasies of your own mind.

What you THINK trumps everything! If you THINK you will be judged, you will be. If you THINK you will be in alignment with all that you have created, you will be. Your thoughts create your reality. Your doing is always, always a result of your thoughts. But, again, your doing is the least productive aspect of your creation.

Now, if you yourself judge yourself by your DOING and your OUTPUT, then you will find yourself trapped again and again by these things. If you beckon forth approval and acknowledgment from others based on your DOING, you will live or die by this sword. You seek approval from others through your DOING when in fact your THOUGHTS change your reality more quickly and more precisely and more beautifully than all of your DOING could ever hope to do.

It is quite simple. You think a THOUGHT. Your Higher Self replies and tells you if you are on track. Now, you may ask us – why does this happen? It is simple. You entered into this three-dimensional reality and put yourself into the stream of time. And, knowing that you would want guidance, you agreed beforehand to have this aspect of self, a Higher Self, that you would leave outside of the physical. This Higher Self knows who you are. This Higher Self is one with that which you call Source. This Higher Self sees the totality of your experience, both physical and non-physical. This Higher Self looks upon your life and sees only perfection. This Higher Self never leaves you, although you may forget about it for a while.

So, you have thunk your THOUGHT. And, if your thought is in alignment with who you are… If this thought is in alignment with who you are becoming… Then this THOUGHT will feel GOOD to you. How that happens is different in every situation. But, know this, you are always moving and expanding and creating. You cannot stop this. Ever. So, when you are moving and expanding as a result of the THOUGHTS that you are thinking, you are either moving in the direction of what you want and your Higher Self tells you, unambiguously, “This is good. This thought feels good.” If you are moving in another direction, you begin to contract yourself away from your Higher Self. And your Higher Self tells you, consistently and unambiguously, “This is not so good. This thought does not feel good.”

Let us discuss this from a slight different viewpoint.

You are never depressed. You are never angry. That is a language construct that makes no sense to us, from our broader non-physical perspective.

You have depression feelings. You have anger feelings. Just like you have a car or a house or a friend or any other thing that you have. Saying that you are depressed or that you are angry is like saying, “I am my car. I am my friend. I am my things.” You have all of these things. But you are none of them. Who you are cannot be quantified or limited in any way, although you can pretend as if you are limited, for you are that powerful.

When you have these depression feelings, they are a steady signal from your Higher Self: “You are going in a direction that is not actually pleasing to you. Turn around, let go, reach for a better feeling thought.” From depression, that better-feeling thought might be anger. Who knows? It might be one of many things. But you are never depressed. You cannot BE depression. Ever. What you can do is to convince yourself that you are what you have, which is a depression feeling.

And, as you well know, when you are in that place, it is as if you are in a trance. So, that is why we say to you, consistently and unambiguously, “Find a way to feel better from where you are.”

And when you do this, slowly and with a bit of persistence, you will find relief in short order. While it will take some time, it will not take nearly as long as you think it might.

And when you do this, when you find this relief. Well, then. You are on your way to where you want to be. You are one step closer to having the direct experience of the freedom and the joy and the love that have been the objects of your desire for so very long.

Getting into Your Vortex

Perhaps you have heard us speak about Your Vortex.

Perhaps you have heard our friends Abraham talk about the importance of getting into the vortex.

We do recommend it. We do recommend that you find a way to directly connect with Source Energy through what we like to call your Higher Self.

When you are in Your Vortex, you will find everything you have been waiting for. It is all there and in a perfectly ordered way. In Your Vortex, the Universe, the Law of Attraction, this mechanical process, is ordering and arranging everything you are wanting.

When you are in Your Vortex it feels very good because you can feel your connection. Your connection to Source is always a tremendous experience.

And so, we know that many of you are wondering how, exactly, to get into Your Vortex.

There are countless ways and each of you has a way that is easier for you than it might be for another.

For some, you might enjoy listening to music that stirs you.

You might enjoy remembering a particularly delightful experience, all the while savoring and amplifying the moments that you loved and allowing the feeling of them to enter fully into your awareness.

You might enjoy spending time with a loved one, with a beast such as a cat or a dog or a bird, with a small child whose laughter and delight feels contagious to you. All the while you are doing this, again, savoring and basking in the moments that feels so good to you and deciding to amplify them through your attention.

You might enjoy reading, hearing, or watching inspiring material that reminds you of the truth of who you are.

All of these things may very well help you get into Your Vortex. As you are there, you will feel the wonder of it all. Everything that you look upon will delight you and you will find it easy to ignore what you are not wanting.

And… you may get kicked out from time to time. You may find some topics to be nettlesome and so you find yourself outside Your Vortex. But, as you will know when you are in Your Vortex, you will want to expend that little effort and desire that will move you back into Your Vortex where you can hand over the nettlesome topic to the Universe to arrange for you.


We do want to share with you a process that you might find helpful in addition to what we have listed and all those ways that our friends Abraham have discussed.

This is, quite plainly, how Frank gets into His Vortex. It’s simple in execution but may take a little bit of practice. In fact, it is so simple, that you may not believe, at first, that it is possible.

Simply put: take a moment and find a comfortable place where you are seated or standing. Once you understand how to do this, you can then try it while prone but it’s simpler if you begin while seated.

Close your eyes and take a deep breath. Allow yourself to relax a bit. As you do, imagine that there is a swirl of energy that surrounds your body. You can imagine it to be whatever color is pleasing to you, but you might find it simplest to imagine that this energy is just a clear white light.

As you imagine this swirling light circling your body, decide that you want to be in Your Vortex. You can do this by speaking that decision out loud or just by making a mental decision that you want to be in Your Vortex.

The first time you do this, it might feel a bit quiet or even strange. If you feel as though you can’t quite get to where you want to be, don’t worry about it too much. Just move on to something else and then come back when you are ready.

But, if you begin to feel a pleasant sensation in your body or any feeling of a deeper relaxation than where you began, then you can know that you are indeed connecting with Your Vortex. There is, most definitely, a physical effect to entering Your Vortex. Your body will feel better.

As you begin to notice these subtle physical changes, begin to notice your thoughts and your feelings. See how much easier it is to reach for a better feeling thought. Once you are in Your Vortex, you will be able to reach for better feeling thoughts quite easily and you will notice that their impact is more pronounced than when you are outside of Your Vortex.

Time will seem to be less of a foe and more of an ally. Thoughts will begin to naturally bend in the direction of well-being and positive intention. The motives of others will appear less devious and more open and positive, if only misguided. You will find it easier and easier to feel better about yourself and you will find it easier and easier to feel better about others around you.

As you practice this process, you will have opportunities to refine it and enhance it and make it completely your own. We do suggest that you practice it several times a day until you notice that you can quickly enter Your Vortex just by thinking about it. This will happen, even if you think such a possibility is a bit off from where you are.

We do want to be clear about one thing that we think is very important. Being in Your Vortex is not about solving problems, although problems can be solved in Your Vortex. It is not about healing hurts and pain, although great healing can happen in Your Vortex. Being in Your Vortex is about how it feels to you and the increasingly more profound and powerful alignment that you find there. Getting into Your Vortex because it feels good to you is the single most important rationale we could ever offer you for doing so.

Road Trip 2010

Time for a road trip!

The Communion of Light is going on the road in June of 2010 for a nice little journey from Austin, through Atlanta, up the East Coast, hooking a left back west in Canada, down to Chicago, over to Kansas City, and back to Austin.

I’ll be traveling in my vortex so the Universe is arranging everything — which is amazingly fun!

How it might work:

  • 10 or so people gather in a living room for a couple of hours of quality Q&A time with the COL
  • $30 per person (the gracious host keeps $10 as a big thank you!)
  • I’ll stay around for a day or two in case anyone wants one-on-one sessions as well.

It will be a nice way to meet new people, re-connect with old friends as well as family, and see the countryside in one of the best months of the year (it’s warm but not hot yet).

I’m not looking for housing as my hermit-like ways will be quite happy with a nice, clean, and reasonably-priced motel…
