What is the truth?
The truth is something that you observe and that resonates deeply within you. From your dimensional vantage point, it is difficult to define an objective truth that others can agree upon because of the filters that each one must look through in order to see or perceive the object in question.
There are some basic and fundamental “truths” that each person can agree on: the planet on which you live is round, water flows downhill, and the sun is the brightest object in the sky.
Beyond these fundamentals, you are always looking at objects as they appear to you. You can agree on certain basic properties of each object that you observe. Some may look at a ball and agree that it is blue, but disagree about the shade of blue it is painted, for example.
We speak to you of this because it is important to understand that each one of you has a unique perspective and perception. As you mix and converse and debate and discuss, each one will have his or her own unique viewpoint no matter the subject.
It is more important in these lively and interesting conversations that each one find the truth out for him or herself. That means that you take the conversation and bring it within yourself. Each point that is discussed, each view that is aired, will cause a reaction within you. As you observe your reactions and allow new thoughts and feelings to surface, you will begin to understand what is true for you.
You are your own universe
The Sun is the star around which the planet Earth revolves.
You are the center of your own system as well.
You have a gravitational pull on objects in the universe. You are the center of your own experience. Everything you see, you see through your eyes. Everything you touch, you touch with your hands. Eyes, ears, hands… all are yours.
When you experience anything at all, it is always through the prism of your experience. That is to say, you are building and building perception again and again and again. You are always perceiving based on your past experience.
You do not read these words the same as any other person reads them. You and any other person reading these words have two completely separate experiences.
Understanding this distinction is key to understanding how your universe works. You are at the center of your universe. The rules, while common to all, are interpreted a little differently for each person.
You have your Law of Gravity. You have your Law of Attraction. You have your Law of Karma. And on and on.
Therefore, seek not to find out how these laws work for others. Seek to find out how they work for you. And remember that when you are observing another’s experience, you are observing your perception of their experience.
We invite you today to stop for a moment and reflect on your own personal universe. You do overlap with others in many very significant ways. But from a physical perspective, you can never actually join with another person. Water from one cup can be poured into another cup and the water in both cups becomes blended. It is hard to tell which molecules of water came from the first cup and which came from the second.
Physically speaking, this is not possible for two human beings. Two human beings cannot mix. However, from an energetic perspective, two beings can become aware of each other in ways that far transcend any physical perception you may have.
As long as you believe that you are your body, you will never fully understand who you are. When you let go of that belief, even for a moment, you will see how you are energy taking on form. And that your energy is at the center of your universe. And that you are part of a much larger communion of energy, all of which is constantly flowing together and apart in magnificent ways.
And when you see this, again if only for a moment, you will experience a freedom that is far more wonderful than anything you have known before.
What you seek is seeking you.
Today we want you to focus on the power of your desire. This power is so strong and so clear when activated, that it literally causes the stream of thought and things in the universe to shift course and adjust to the focus that you give it.
We are not so foolish as to think that you get every single thing you want. We do not see the universe as a giant hand in the sky that moves things around according to your whim.
But it is important to note that those desires that stay with you; those desires that get stronger as time passes; each of those desires is calling forth from inside of you for a reason. What you seek is seeking you.
There is a reason why you are sometimes able to become very, very clear about a desire. You make it the sole reason for the actions you take. You place it above all things. You feel driven, or compelled, or convinced that this course alone is the right one for you.
What you are feeling in those moments is the power of what you desire calling you. Just as you are a magnet for your desires, your desires are magnets for you. They call you forth. They wake you up. They tap you on the shoulder to get your attention.
As you go through each day, you seemingly have thousands of random thoughts. These thoughts are not random. Hardly. This is your interconnectedness with all life.
Each of these thoughts is your interaction with the fabric of reality. Some thoughts are yours and originate from your own personal field. Other thoughts are originating from people around you. There is no harm in this. Those thoughts and feelings that do not belong to you will not stay with you. They are just passing through. However, this is an example of why it is so important that you learn to focus your mind.
Mindfulness, observation, and inquiry are powerful tools that can help you stay focused on what is truly important to you. As you get to know your mind better, you will begin to discern what is yours and what isn’t. You will begin to discern what is important to you – what is truly calling you – and what isn’t.
Perhaps today would be an excellent time to begin or continue this practice of mindfulness. See if you can watch the stream of your thoughts from the riverbank instead of in the middle of the rushing, swirling flow. Take 5 minutes and allow your thoughts to be flowing without any judgment as to their rightness or wrongness. Just allow them to be. You will begin to notice that the seemingly random thoughts come and go. They do not stay for long. You will also begin to notice that those thoughts that are important to you will come again and again. Not because you are attaching importance to them but because they are calling you.
Practice this once or twice today and notice how you feel better and more peaceful once your 5 minutes are finished. Also notice if the seeming chaos of your thoughts begins to dissipate a bit.
By observing and watching, instead of avoiding or fixing, you allow the real you to emerge. And what you will see will be magnificent.
When is a challenge not a challenge?
When is a challenge not a challenge? Usually all the time.
As you move through this period of transformation, both personally and globally, you will have numerous opportunities to always reframe how you look at anything.
Since you are the inspiration behind your experience, it is up to you to determine how you experience what you experience.
So, we see that you are really a swirling mass of energy moving in and out of form. And you are interacting with untold other swirling masses of energy also moving in and out of form. This dynamic is the collective you manifesting your collective reality.
There will be times when you feel completely alone. There will be (and probably have been already) times when you feel that you are living your life all by yourself. But that is never true.
Besides the unseen friends that are always walking with you, you are intimately connected to every other person now in physical manifestation. You are moving through the experience of living on this planet, in this time, and in this particular form all together. You are never alone: not in the sense of being alone, floating like an island in time and space.
It is your fear of being alone that often drives you to attempt to connect with your sisters and brothers in such a way that does not recognize them as the people that they really are. You can be so desperate to connect that you see only yourself in them and may have a hard time seeing them for who they really are.
You are all one. And yet you are all individual expressions of this oneness.
We are all one. And yet some of us have physical manifestations and some of us do not.
So we suggest that you reach out to your sister or your brother and, from a place deep within yourself, ask how you may connect. Ask to see them as they are, not how you would want them to be. Allow yourself to see with new eyes.
Practice this, and it will become habit. Allow every challenge, every relationship, every experience to reveal itself to you just as it is. Let your eyes see clearly. And you will marvel every minute of every day at what you see before you and within you.
Evolution is not biological
The evolution of the human species is not a biological phenomenon.
In other words, it is not biology that is causing this great leap forward. It is the intention behind the manifestation of the body as an instrument of the mind that is causing this great leap forward.
As your collective consciousness (actually, we share in that consciousness as well) has evolved from various types of limitation mostly focused on survival, you have arrived at a place in the evolution of the species where a jump into a more actively and noticeable expansion of consciousness is possible.
At first, the human species fought for survival. Small groups became larger groups. Larger groups became villages. Villages became towns. Towns became cities. Cities became states. And now, from an organizational perspective, states are merging into larger and larger units.
For the first time in the history of the species, a significant number of individuals are not faced with survival as the most important part of daily life. This increase in daily abundance has freed many to begin to question whether the mere running of the rat race (with our sincerest apologies to all rats) is truly all that there is.
Religion as the practice of a spiritual life has, for time immemorial, directly addressed this question. Ascetics, monks, nuns, and other devoted individuals achieved states of high consciousness through meditation or devotional prayer. But these individuals literally had to wall themselves off from the rest of humanity in order to achieve this mindfulness and clarity.
Now, many of you are able to achieve this same clarity of consciousness in a matter of years or months whereas your ancestors spent lifetimes doing the same.
This single fact, if explored deeply enough, would testify that the speed of consciousness has expanded exponentially even in your brief lifetimes. The expansion is gaining speed, as it were, and many of you are beginning to feel the discomfort that precedes a large and significant global change.
